Steroids and Baldness
Fall is just around the corner, and fall means Football. I just saw my first TV ads for the upcoming NFL season. Athletes from 14-34 are hitting summer camps and weight rooms, gearing up for the season. But are steroids worth the price of admission? This articles reminds us what we already know. Yes, steroids can increase strength and stamina, but - in addition to being illegal - they come with a range of detrimental physical side effects including baldness at the annoying end of the spectrum and heart disease at the serious end. Don’t forget the psychological problems rising out of a hormonal imbalance.
The Bald Truth: It isn’t worth it. At best it produces a tainted “win.” At worst: a premature end.
