Is Adovart A Safe For Hair Restoration?

by Bald Man on September 3rd, 2006

Adovart, aka dutasteride 0.5mg, is a prostate medication much like Proscar and Propecia, which contain finasteride. One effect of both medications, dutasteride and finasteride, is that they prevent the conversion of testosterone into DHT, which is known to be a factor in hair loss.

So, you Bald Men might be thinking: “Can I try Adovart to combat my hair loss?” The answer would be, “At your own risk.” Think of dutasteride as finasteride on steroids. It’s more powerful. It remains in your system longer. It potentially affects more than just your hair and prostate. While there may be the potential for a useful treatment down the road, Adovart has not yet been approved for use as a hair loss medication. Until it has, talking to your physician about it might be an option. Responding to those Spam email for Internet pharmaceuticals probably shouldn’t be.

But then again, there are so many reasons you shouldn’t respond to Spam email.
