I Recognize that Bald Silhouette!
I found these results from a study out of Stanford University interesting. It seems that silhouettes are pretty useful in determining a person’s general characteristics. “The scientists said male silhouettes were classified as male 83.3 percent of the time and female silhouettes were classified as female 55.7 percent of the time.” Why the discrepancy? Researchers are pretty sure it’s baldness, a generally easy clue that the silhouette is male.
Perhaps what’s more interesting is that age-range was correctly identified more than two-thirds of the time! Something to keep in mind next time you plan nefarious deeds to be performed under cover of darkness…
