Gail Porter: Bald Forever… Or Not! [UPDATE]
[UPDATE] It looks like this report may have been a little premature. According to reports, like this one from Channel 4 News, there remains at least a small possibility that Ms. Porter’s hair will come back:
Gail Porter has quashed rumours that her hair loss is going to be permanent.
The plucky presenter, who is warming up for a new series of Dead Famous, her celebrity ghost-hunting show, told us why the rumours are all balderdash.
She said: “It is possible that I’m going to get my hair back. My doctor just said not to get my hopes up.”
It looks like Ms. Porter will be bald forever. The Sun article - and others elsewhere - reveal that doctors believe her alopecia is permanent:
GAIL Porter revealed yesterday she has accepted her hair will NEVER grow back.
The telly beauty — who has been left bald by the hair-loss condition alopecia — was given the bombshell news by her doctor.
I don’t think this is really a big deal. Consider these two photos, both from the Sun article:
Different no doubt; but to me she looks happier in the second. Beauty truly comes from within. It is a reflection of character more than a reflection of appearance.

Gail is a beautiful woman. Her pleasing personality, lovely accent, and her quick wit add to this fact. Her hair didn’t make her beauty at all. She proved to the world that “bald is beautiful”!!

I love Gail as she is, hair or not. I was worried that she was undergoing chemo, but now that I know it is Alopecia, and her general health isn’t involved, I can relax and just enjoy the show. And Gail. Who is beautiful, with or without hair.
