I’m not sure why everyone seems to be getting hair cuts just as winter is beginning, but they are. Here’s hoping Shelby Pyle, Katelyn Rozankowski, Dolores Rosas and Chelsea Plishka each got a hat for Christmas. All four Marco Island middle school students donated their ponytails to Locks of Love.
But wait! There’s more!

The kindness keeps on coming! Taylor Thompson of Binghamton is just seven years old, but she’s recently donated her ponytail to Locks of Love. Taylor, too, has a personal connection: both of her grandfathers were killed by cancer. But, there are more childlike concerns as well. From her lips to our ears: “I think a […]

I’m back from a festive Christmas Day, and am pleasantly greeted with the story of Russell Schoemer, a young man of 15 who has recently donated hair to Locks of Love. Like many, Russell has personal motivations for his actions; his grandfather, aunt and a family friend have all been killed by cancer. Another aunt […]

“Following her heart and the example of her Aunt Chrissy, 7-year-old Cheyanne Ruff had 13 inches of her long, blond hair cut off Thanksgiving Day for Locks of Love.”
Roy Church has another story of kindness in the Wabash Plain Dealer.

It’s the Christmas season, and signs of kindness are essential. I particularly enjoy stories like this one from the Naperville Sun.
Too often we hear only about the greed: Black Friday Stampedes; fights and extortion-like auctions for the season’s hot toys. This darker elements need to be driven back by brighter stories of generosity and kindness. […]

Hey Douglas County, Oregon, residents!
Two of your area business owners are putting their follicles on the line for charity this Christmas season. Phil Kailiuli of Sizzler (1156 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd) and Jason Jakubos of Hollywood Video (1176 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd) want to collect 1,000 toys and household items at drop-off bins in their […]
