Botox for Bald Heads
One thing I miss about hair it’s the split-second warning I used to get when I was about to crack my skull on something hard. (And the shampoo treatment at the salon, but that’s two things.) You wouldn’t think it matters that much, but it does. The brain can react pretty quick when you’re about to ram full speed into the corner of the kitchen cupboard.
Not only that, but hair makes a nice concealer for those clumsy moments. You hairy people can be as awkward as you want. As long as the blood isn’t running down your face, we’ll never know.
Not so with us Bald Men. Not only to we have to answer for that fresh wound on our scalp, we’ve got to answer for every wound that’s ever left a scar!
“Well, when I was your age, I once forgot to duck getting into the car.”
Imagine: Every “Duh!” moment displayed in scar tissue on your bald head for the world to see.
Not so fast!
Turns out botox might be able to help.
Continuous muscle movement around a wound during the healing process induces a prolonged inflammatory response and metabolic activity that results in a pronounced scar. But Botox paralyzes the muscle around the wound and inhibits this process, the investigators said.
A little something to keep in mind next time a stand up into a light fixture that’s been hung a little too low.
