Biting the Bullet

Adam Knapp, columnist for the Wichita Eagle, has given in and shaved his head. I can totally relate to his recollection of not being recognized. The day after I shaved my head (and face; I have a full beard going, too) half my co-workers thought I was a new hire. I wasn’t about to shatter their impression. I let it ride until the end of the day for a few of them.

Now, I keep thinking about going whole hog and shaving bald, but the recurring advice to keep up with it is holding me back. Regular preening isn’t my style.
