Stories of kids giving their ponytails to Locks of Love just keep popping up. The latest is nine year old Katy McDaniel, a third-grader at St. Anne Catholic School near Beaumont. The 10-inch ponytail was one of the gifts she gave this Christmas.
Merry Christmas and way to go, Katy!

So, here’s news of a potential multiple myeloma treatment in Phase I clinical trial. The treatment is an oral cocktail of KRX-0401 (perifosine), Revlimid […]

I’m not sure why everyone seems to be getting hair cuts just as winter is beginning, but they are. Here’s hoping Shelby Pyle, Katelyn Rozankowski, Dolores Rosas and Chelsea Plishka each got a hat for Christmas. All four Marco Island middle school students donated their ponytails to Locks of Love.

Seems the receding hair line may have been just the thing to push Lund over the top. Last week, the skeleton racer claimed the first World Cup win of his career by a margin of 0.16 seconds.
The Times Union has a nice story on Lund and his travails.

Shoemaker Elementary second-grade teacher Rhonda Williams and her student, Abigail Starnes, got haircuts during class Monday, but it was more than just a simple trim.
More good stories, this time from Tennessee, where Ms. Williams is doing more than teaching her kids readin’, writin’, and ‘rithmetic. In class Monday teacher and student each received hair cuts […]

A few news bullets on IGI, the pharmaceutical company that, among other things, is working on a topical treatment for chemotherapy-induced alopecia…
On 7 December, the company announced it had received $250K, the initial payment on a $1 million licensing arrangement with DermWorx. In addition, IGI entered into a one year $1 million line of credit […]
