“Oh my God! My hair!”
I’m not sure why everyone seems to be getting hair cuts just as winter is beginning, but they are. Here’s hoping Shelby Pyle, Katelyn Rozankowski, Dolores Rosas and Chelsea Plishka each got a hat for Christmas. All four Marco Island middle school students donated their ponytails to Locks of Love.
But wait! There’s more!
Parents Yesenia Rodriguez and Judy Plishka, and teachers Katherine Albanese and Jerra Holdsworth also joined in.

These students weren’t the first at the school. Veronica Castillo donated her hair back in September, and Rodica Schimek, went into the barber’s chair a few week’s ago. The school is hoping to make this an annual event
Ms. Albanese sums it up: “Veronica was my visual aid when we started talking about doing this back in September. It was a great opportunity to show the students that it’s not all about the money. It’s about actions.“
